‼️WHYVTUNDU LISSJ SHOULDN’T SPEND AN EXTRA HOUR IN JAIL‼️ Tundu Lissu was charged for treason and this panel of judges was specifically looking at whether Tundu Lissu committed treason! The prosecution failed to prove the charge of treason; however, the judges ruked that Lissu’s statement amounted to incitement - which was not part of the trial! Consequently, the Judges SUBSTITUTED the treason charge with incitement! It’s unlawful to convict a person of an offence which isn’t an alternative verdict to the offence of treason and wasn’t on the indictment as an alternative. This is simply ILLEGAL! . This is utterly UNACCEPTABLE and shows how compromised the police and the courts are. But also the judges didn’t adhere to the sentencing guidelines and precedents in this case! When sentencing Tundu Lissu for incitement, the judges should have adhered to the guidelines that state that a fine should be considered first rather than prison! They knew Lissu’s fine would have been raised immediately! They DELIBERATELY ignored this! Also the 19-20 months Lissu has served awaiting verdict MUST be deducted from his sentence according to the guidelines! In summary: overall the entire verdict needs to be overturned and Tundu Lissu released as a free, innocent man! He also needs to be paid reparations! #FreeTunduLissu
