This is the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Wasatch County. Did you know that tax dollars are paying for yurts, ski racks, snow making equipment, ski patrol huts and more? This is allowed because the definition of public infrastructure has been changed in the Utah code to include privately owned buildings and facilities. This is the exploitation of the Utah tax payer.
Follow for more details and a bill that will fix this in the 2027 session.

We’ve got a Big Sur-prise. 🌊✈️
New nonstop service from SLC to Monterey, California (MRY), takes off Dec. 19 with Delta!
Whether you’re headed for the dramatic views of Big Sur, the charm of Carmel-by-the-Sea or a coastal getaway in Monterey, California’s Central Coast is about to get a whole lot closer.
Now that’s what we call a shore thing. 😎

Diesel costs just hit an all-time high. Our nation is at war. The bond market is quivering. The urgency of AI regulation has come to a critical moment.
Congress should be working overtime. Instead Speaker Johnson sent them home. All to dodge one uncomfortable vote - much like his maneuvers last year to hold off the Epstein files.
You don't have to be a Democrat to find that disgraceful.
In less than seven weeks, Americans can change all this. 48 days to go.

Just watch the @RideUTA TRAX Blue lIne leave Salt Lake Central before FrontRunner riders had time to transfer only to have to wait for the red light at 300 North. Multiple riders were trying to push the button to open the door while it was stopped still at the platform.

@LGHendersonUtah is right to defend her constitutional role as Utah’s elections leader. Elections are the responsibility of the states, and Utah conducts them with integrity. Lt. Gov. and her office are doing a terrific job protecting that tradition. deseret.com/politics/2026/09…

My wife and I were only able to become first time homeowners 20 years ago bc Seattle decided to make similar changes in the early 2000s. That allowed us to buy a modest 850sf unit in duplex on our limited income.

Mike Birds opponent is openly LGBTQ and Equality Utah couldn’t bring themselves to support them.
We celebrated a record # of LGBTQ electeds in Utah last year, why aren’t we trying to majorly expand that group? Only 1 non-incumbent LGBTQ endorsee is simply not sufficient.

Another failure of vision promises to rob the West Side of affirmative investment. The City and the West Side specifically deserve what the #RioGrandePlan offers.
Despite the ongoing reliability issues, WEConnect is recommending adding these at 200 North and 200 South, with the latter having an elevator be the sole option for riders to cross instead of the option to #BuryTheRails

Look, if you don’t like Salt Lake City, I don’t care. If you think it’s too liberal, I don’t care. If you want your city to stay completely right wing, I don’t care. Like what you like. We all get to have that right. But, you don’t need to bash a place or make up crap, just because you wish it was different. Salt Lake City is a phenomenal place. We’re fortunate to have a capital as great as Salt Lake.
