Shift from tech to consumer staple defensive and dividend plays is late cycle, or reflective of uncertainty at best.
Maybe the “Big Tech” plays are priced closer to utilities providers until we see the AI-driven productivity gains

Been a pretty uneventful month with short runs and reversals. I've spent a lot of time upgrading the site. I rather sit on my hands than be chopped up. My market score has been a pretty good indicator of risk off. My sector monitors for strength acceleration kept me away from large reversals. Entry alerts help me time buy signals from screens in the correct sectors. Only-stocks.com , there's a lot of free information on there as well. I mainly charge to pay for the services I utilize to stay up to date and ahead of the trend.

This is a very significant possible longer term look at $SOL

BREAKING: Markets are now essentially split on the Fed’s September 16th decision.
- No change: 51%
- 25 bps hike: 50%
I don’t see it.
You think a hand-picked Fed Chair is going to walk into September and cross Trump?
You don’t think that conversation happened before Warsh was sworn in?
Don’t be naïve. This is coordinated.
Rates will not be raised. By late 2026, they’ll actually start coming down further.
I can’t state this simply enough: RATES ARE NOT GOING UP!
Listen to what they are actually saying.
Trump:
“A strong country means a lower interest rate - it’s a better credit. Very simple. We should have the lowest rate of any country in the world.”
He said growth does not cause inflation, high rates put the U.S. at “a very unfair disadvantage,” and America “should be at 1 percent or a half a percent. We shouldn’t be at 4 percent.”
Bessent:
The move in yields is “a growth story.” Inflation expectations are “flat-to-down.” Core inflation has stayed “very, very restrained.” You don’t hike into a supply shock unless you see second- and third-order effects. Rates come down “when we get on the other side of this.”

Cocoa futures are on the brink of an upside resolution and a reclaim of the former breakdown level.
@jonbking
In 1931, Richard Wyckoff proposed a powerful mental model: imagine all large, informed market participants as a single operator, the "Composite Man," who methodically accumulates assets during extended periods of fear and sideways price action. The playbook is deliberate. Suppress excitement, let volatility shake out impatient holders, and quietly build positions while headlines stay negative. The transfer from weak hands to strong hands doesn't happen during rallies. It happens during the stretch that most investors find unbearable.
Bitcoin's consolidation in the low-to-mid $60ks through much of 2026, paired with persistent ETF outflows and fear-driven sentiment, maps closely onto Wyckoff's Accumulation Schematic. On-chain analytics show large holders have been steadily increasing positions throughout this period. That said, pattern recognition is not prediction. Consolidation phases can break down as easily as they break up, and historical frameworks applied to a still-maturing asset class carry real limitations. The value of Wyckoff isn't in forecasting a specific outcome. It's in training yourself to read market structure rather than react to emotion.
At DAiM, a state-registered investment adviser dedicated exclusively to digital assets and managing Bitcoin in-kind through regulated custody, we believe frameworks like these help investors develop the discipline that separates long-term positioning from short-term noise. Understanding how large participants behave during periods of fear is one of the most underrated skills in portfolio management.

😂😂😂 I woke up just before my limit order got hit. I pulled the limit and manually covered 80% when I saw the 2,xxx%
Appreciate the support DaveO. My worst trade is still ahead of me, so I take this one more humbly than it looks.

Otherwise it’s important to consider than i always take a Quick Profit after the first big thrust. That means I peeled off 10-20% of my position at $67K
I take another 25-75% off of my initial position’s profit at measured target, and i only trail the rest.

Hi Len, @PhorosOxBeta has done the best work I’ve seen lately on trailing stops, and full disclosure i am strongly considering adjusting mine based on his work.
See teapawt.net/phorosoxbeta/status/20…
This morning I accidentally discovered an improvement to my trading system, thanks to input from my friend @s0ulBr0ther. On his suggestion, I backtested my current trailing stop system against several alternatives.
My committed system was set at 75% to target, moving the stop to breakeven, then a 3-day trailing stop. To my surprise, every tested alternative improved on it. The best one: a 4x ATR hard stop and a 3x ATR soft stop — the former a fixed stop, the latter on a close basis.
So I built a new ATR trailing stop indicator for TradingView. It improves significantly on what's already out there — you can choose when to arm it, and pick between soft and hard stop trail alternatives. It even calculates your target profit as a multiple of your initial risk (R).

There was a reason to have expected a downside move in Bitcoin. An inverted H&S with a belabored right shoulder has a 60/40 chance to be resolved to the downside. And, the trend was down. But the completion of the H&S bottom changed that. I bought the breakout for better or worse
