Canada got universial healthcare cuz the liberal were in a minority & the NDP forced them to it. Same with CPP or dental care. Everything you like about Canada is thanks to NDP. There is nothing to be proud about Canada under Carney liberals. He is killing the working class.
Replying to @BeauFedeeze @LLCBCer
We have that and still have better healthcare wow? Sounds like you guys can’t use tax money right if it’s not for blowing up the 45th middle eastern hospital
Things i’m sick of hearing: Autism edition
- everyones a little autistic
- everyone is on the autism spectrum
- anyone can be autistic now
- autism is being overdiagnosed
I’m begging people to do some actual research, read the criteria and learn that none of this is true.

Being “high functioning” is such a strange experience. It’s basically being disabled while everyone around you assumes you’re fine because you’ve managed to keep things together.
Your struggles become invisible, your needs get dismissed, and people start acting like you have no reason to complain. The moment you admit you’re having a difficult time, you’re made to feel like you’re exaggerating because you supposedly have it better than people with more visible or severe difficulties.

There is more infection control in a tattoo parlor than most healthcare settings. At the tattoo parlor, you watch an area be prepped and sanitized before your artist begins. At the doctor, you sit on a table where someone set old dressing from a MRSA wound 10 minutes ago.
Today's post is even more disappointing 😢
A maskless healthcare worker beside 4 vulnerable people, with a caption about protecting others. Why not show N95s? You can't protect patients from airborne viruses without proper respiratory protection
Every action you take to prevent #influenza and #COVID19 can help protect not only yourself, but also your patients, colleagues, loved ones, and community.
As a health worker, your choices can make a difference far beyond yourself.
Take action to protect against influenza and COVID-19 and help protect those who count on you.

More freedumb proposed for Alberta🤦🏼♀️
The UCP government is proposing a new law that would restrict Alberta's post-secondary schools from being able to weigh in on social and political issues.

I think feeding materials that are not yours into AI without permission should be penalized by expulsion in whatever forms that can take across all parts of academia.
I think it’s a greater violation than passing off AI output as your own.

In case Canadians forgot, we DO actually have a real progressive option (since our two largest parties are right wing).
The NDP came out today proposing a wealth tax that would apply to people worth more than $10 million to pay for public grocery options, housing and healthcare.

I refuse to accept that the only options on the entire face of the Earth are continued extreme levels of isolation while everything falls apart, or joining the mass suicide of sacrificing ourselves to a mass casualty event just to participate in life. We need a new, safe society.

This Kellogg's no rice rice krispies thing is quite the story. If you dig into it a little, you quickly find out that not all rice can be puffed properly & the stuff that can requires very specific growing conditions & fertilizer. Because of this, they have sourced rice from a

Social media has done for women what decades of therapy never could:
It showed women they weren’t the problem.
In the past, women were isolated. So the violence they experienced could be written off as their fault, a personal problem, bad luck.
But then social media allowed women to compare notes w each other globally.
And it allowed men to confess their true thoughts and feelings about women.
Once women see these patterns, they can’t be unseen. Social media showed women who the oppressors are in real time. It exposed the systems operating against them.
May the birth rates never recover. 🫶

Here is the Covid debate in a nutshell....
On one side you have "Covid is dangerous" backed by 500,000 peer reviewed publications showing the damage Covid causes, coupled with the reality that more people are sick more often, for longer, more severely.
On the other side you have, "Covid is mild", backed by, "the government said so", with zero proof, publications, or even real world evidence to show it to be true.
There really is no debate, it's just facts vs fiction at this point, and the fiction is winning because its less work and more comfortable.
Policy should match the reality.

I’ve learned that physically healthy, able-bodied people think they can “earn” their health. That if they eat right, exercise, and “don’t be lazy,” they’ll be able-bodied forever.
This belief is the insidious underbelly of every piece of disability or healthcare legislation.

I am fundraising both because I have to and I think the work is important. Financially crushed, and can't even get an interview right now, so until I can find full time work I will keep fundraising, offering assistance and doing whatever I can to stay afloat while raising awareness and advocating for change. My vocal nature has put up hurdles to employment but I think if I keep pushing forward with positive goals, something is bound to give and the tide will turn.
It’s been a rough few months, but we need awareness, and more voices not less.
If you’d like to support my efforts and the work that I’m doing to help others, please do so, even a share goes a long way.

It's sad being the smartest person in the room when you're seeking help from someone who should know more than you. But this is what we get. Nurses who have zero understand of PPE or an ongoing pandemic. This is healthcare now. The stupidity is painful. The outcomes are tragic.

Viagra is over the counter but women in menopause can only get testosterone prescribed if they say the magic words 'my sex drive is low', even if their T level IS low & it's causing bad fatigue, loss of muscle mass etc.
But yeah men & women are now treated equally in society, sure
Hey, are @bcndp MLAs going to believe in science again, now that they're in opposition?
Will they advocate for masks in high risk environments?
Clean air in schools?
Vaccines for everyone, instead of gatekeeping vaccines for only certain groups?
Inquiring minds want to know!
