75 words a minute in week one. I'm in the VOICE trial, so I know how much work is behind a number like that. It's not magic. It's a lot of very patient people. ALS took my voice. Science is negotiating to get it back. 🎤
Early Neuralink speech restoration data: We are enabling speech to text and voice at conversational rates in participants with ALS. One participant achieved 75 WPM at 5.8% WER on a 125k-word vocabulary in their first week.

Houston Police Officer's Union letting Houstonians know that the Robotaxi service has expanded and stating to not drink and drive but to instead take a Robotaxi ride.
There has never been an excuse to drink and drive. With @Tesla expanding their Cybercab/Robotaxi services area across #Houston, there are more ways than ever to get home safely after a night out. Plan ahead, make the smart choice, and never get behind the wheel impaired. #DontDrinkAndDrive

New Future Link Interview 🎙️ with @serobinsonjr, the man behind @elonchron, his daily no-spin chronicle of Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, Starlink, X, The Boring Company and xAI. We talk about: 🛒 How years in retail management trained him to dig through the BS 🚀 Why SpaceX is the hardest company to cover 🧠 Neuralink's speed, and why "patients are not props" ✅ Elon replying "Not true" under his posts (twice!) 🛣️ Standing next to a Starship on a public highway, while you still can Thank you, Steven, for doing this with me. 🙏

I was lucky enough to meet SE at the X Takeover (well, at a few of the events around it first, but still,) and he's a fascinating dude.

💊 Meet Prescription Saver, a Grok @bot template that could make a real difference in people’s lives. Prescription prices are ridiculous, and a lot of people are paying more than they need to. Prescription Saver helps you: • Compare cash prices at nearby pharmacies, GoodRx, SingleCare, Costco, Amazon Pharmacy, and Cost Plus Drugs. • Compare insurance copays against cash prices to find the best potential savings over the year. • Find manufacturer copay cards and assistance programs for brand-name medications. • Navigate Medicare savings programs, Extra Help, insulin cost caps, and prescription drug plan comparisons. • Get a personalized savings plan with sources and dates for every price. It won’t tell you to change or stop taking your medication. Instead, it helps you find savings and gives you questions to ask your doctor or pharmacist. It prioritizes licensed pharmacies, protects your privacy, and can even check your refill prices every month. Healthcare is expensive enough. Saving money on prescriptions shouldn’t be complicated. Another way Grok can help with real life problems 💙 x.ai/bot/KL8akVSeJGrZ5m78wqh…

Having hired many Project Titan team members over the years at Rivian, I can say it wasn't a lack of talent. Rather, a lack of will. Apple's leadership couldn't see its way through two very hard problems: autonomy and manufacturing. The solution to manufacturing was always vertical integration. But Apple, hooked on outsourced manufacturing, couldn't see the path. As for autonomy, we know Tesla FSD is the way. Perhaps Apple could have partnered with Tesla early in the game. At the time, one of Tesla's biggest advantages was its fleet data. Consider Apple's entire vehicle data collection fleet running around the Bay Area a few years ago. There were probably more Teslas in the parking lot, collecting real-world driving data on Apple employees' commutes every day, than Apple had dedicated test vehicles. Apple had the talent (or could hire it). It had the money. What it couldn't do was figure out how to build a car on the terms the problem demanded.
Can’t believe Apple invested $10B into the Apple car and gave up… All their cash, stores and brand loyalty — they would have made something really interesting and owned the fourth screen

Today at Giga Texas: checking out the new warehouse on wheels on the west side near Tesla Road. This is clearing space for the east warehouse on wheels so construction can continue on the Advanced Technology Chip Fab … including the geopiers work going in on the W side of the fab facility. Also spotted two refreshed @tesla_semi parked at the new warehouse. Looks like Tesla may be starting to use them to move trailers. Cool to see all the activity happening here today.

Legacy media will never run this list, so I will. 2018, Flint, Michigan: Elon funded filtration systems for schools with unsafe water. Over $480K. 2018, Thailand: SpaceX engineers built a mini-submarine within days to help rescue a boys' soccer team trapped in a flooded cave. 2020, COVID: He sourced and delivered ventilators and supplies to hospitals for free. 2021: He gave Tesla shares worth about $5.7 billion to charity. 2021: He funded a $100M XPRIZE for carbon removal, one of the largest incentive prizes ever. 2022: Starlink kept Ukrainians connected when their networks went down. 2022, Tonga: Starlink helped reconnect the island after a volcano cut its undersea cable. Wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes: Starlink terminals keep showing up for rescuers and families. And the biggest one, the one that's easy to miss: he's spent his fortune and 20+ years building clean energy, safer cars, and a future for humanity among the stars. They call him a villain. The record says otherwise.

Good morning fellow astronauts. 🚀 Track Starlink on NetP (my site). The overview page will tell you how much bandwidth is orbiting overhead as well as what launches are coming up. There are multiple launches per month. Group 15-15 just went online (launched Oct 23) Group 15-16 launched yesterday (coming online soon) Next launch in about 37 hours. netp-app.com/starlink/overvi…

I left Tesla over two years ago, and in the background, I’ve been quietly building my research and data company, Physical AI Data (physicalaidata.com). Whenever I looked for data on, say, robotaxi vehicle counts, ride counts, collision rates, or other data points, I realized there was no global “one-stop shop” dataset across robotaxis, humanoids, and other physical AI industries. So I decided to build one. And of course, once you build a super-detailed dataset with your team, it makes sense to turn that data into research and conclusions that help physical AI companies and investors understand what to focus on and where things are heading. At Tesla, I had the enormous privilege of spending quality time with some of the world’s best engineers and learning directly from them. Undoubtedly, Tesla was developing physical AI before “physical AI” became a term. So building this platform felt like a natural next step. In my view, physical AI, starting with robotaxis (our main focus thus far), will impact our daily lives so profoundly that it makes sense to build a platform dedicated to explaining it in plain language.
Physical AI will have a profound impact on our daily lives, but the data surrounding it is still very scattered. We’re launching PhysicalAIData.com to bring it all together in one place.
